Our First Anniversary — June 6, 2008
On June 6, 2008, Walker Title celebrated its first anniversary in Mountain City, Tennessee. Many thanks were given to the clients, realtors, bankers and government officials who have supported us throughout this first year.
Walker Title, LLC, Opens in Mountain City, Tennessee — May, 2007
Jeffrey J. Walker, attorney, is pleased to announce the opening of his real estate title agency, Walker Title, LLC, in Mountain City, Tennessee. The office is located at 118A West Main Street in the historic downtown area.
Jeffrey J. Walker, licensed to practice law in Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida, is the title agent and will oversee all real estate transactions handled in this office. His law office will be at the same location, while also maintaining his office in Boone, North Carolina.
"Having purchased a home on Watauga Lake in Butler two years ago and moving there full time in 2006, I saw the need for a full service real estate title agency in northeast Tennessee. Many of our North Carolina clients have asked us to assist them in the Watauga Lake area and we were very pleased to have found a desirable location in the Blackburn Building on Main Street," Walker said. "Our office will provide the same high level of service to our clients, including buyers, sellers, developers and banks, as our Boone, North Carolina office presently provides. We will service Carter, Johnson, Sullivan and Washington Counties in Tennessee from the Mountain City office."
The office opened in May and assists clients in all real estate transactions including residential, commercial, industrial and land development.
Jeffrey J. Walker is a graduate of Stetson University School of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a board certified civil trial attorney in Florida. While practicing in Florida, Walker successfully prosecuted many personal injury and wrongful death cases.
In Boone, North Carolina, Walker's general law practice includes real estate, construction, contracts, personal injury, wrongful death and insurance disputes. His associate attorney, Tamara C. DiVenere, specializes in family law matters including prenuptial agreements, divorce, child custody, and wills and trusts. Walker Title, LLC, will be managed by Walker's wife, Donna. She was a successful commercial real estate broker in Florida before taking time to raise a family. Now that all their children are attending college, she works with Walker in all real estate matters.
Allison E. Sias, a Certified Real Estate Paralegal in North Carolina, and Christy A. Canter, both licensed Title Insurance Agents in North Carolina and Tennessee, will work with the Walkers in Mountain City.
